This is a great idea. I wish I thought of it before. I'll update the icons today. They should be live after our next production build.

It's understandable that people who have stake in technology choices (esp. considering the investment of time, energy and financial consequences) want definitive answers and a high-level of confidence when selecting a technology platform. However, there is no quick and easy answer to your question: Is [sic] there any statistics, usages or trend that ...

I'll split this into 2 sections: Reason for the question count on WP and Drupal being higher: The one thing you have to realise is that the majority of Joomla related question are asked on either Stack Overflow (not JSE) or the Joomla forum. The joomla tag alone has 13k questions associated with it, not to mentioned other tags such as joomla2.5, joomla3.0,...

The prettify-full.en.js file is not being imported on the JSE site. Not sure whether this is intentional or a mistake but I have to say it would be nice to have as it can sometimes make code readability much easier. Maybe ask on Stackoverflow Meta

Unfortunately there's nothing much we can do. What I normally do is, if I post an answer and the OP comments below saying that it has solved their issue, I reply with more or less the following: @User - Glad this solved your issue. Please accept the answer by clicking the 'tick' icon on the left hand side of the answer. This will allow other users who ...

The email notification feature could be a nice one, for those that would like to subscribe to a Question, or for the guy that created the question. A good answer may arrive right away after posting the question, but further good or better answers may arrive days or months later. So I guess, those that had that question might still be interested in knowing ...

Actually I don't think we will have questions regarding JEvent anytime soon. I have renamed the tag jevent => jevents and added a proper description so that we know what is it for.

Indeed I agree. I see no point in using joomla-component and component. This is a Joomla specific StackExchange site, therefore I don't think people need to be reminded that the component, module or plugin are part of Joomla. Even synonyms I don't think would be necessary. The likes of joomla-component or joomla-module should only really be used on non-...

Ahh you're referring to the favicon. Didn't have any idea what you mean till I looked around properly :) Yes, totally agree with you. J! would be better. I assume during beta that the favicon must be that generic icon with 1 or 2 letters representing the site which is fine. But when the JSE site has passed beta, I think perhaps the Joomla logo itself should ...

Here's an associated Stackoverflow Meta page: Create review category for unaccepted answers after x weeks of inactivity Perhaps it is worth expressing on the site tour page... That only the asker (OP) has the power to award the green tick -- marking their preferred, resolving answer -- and that the power is timeless in that the green tick can be moved if a ...

I actually like the idea of this, however the problem is that, with active users, we kind of get an idea of their level (which is fine), so this would be more aimed at new users, who won't be aware about specifying their Joomla knowledge level. If the tags are created for them to use, how will they know that they're available to be used?

1

I don't think I have ever seen any questions for this. If people want to add a specific tag to a question, they can simply do so by typing it manually in the tag section when creating a new question. Only those extensions that are very popular such as K2 and Community Builder should have their own dedicate tags with descriptions. If we start creating them ...

Off-topic, but the tags mentioned are already created on meta. You should be able to add / propose a new tag if you feel like it (not sure about permissions), so I don't think it's enforced to use one of the tags, you just need to use one, whatever. Regarding the website, I would prefer to have tags instead of mentions of the Joomla version in the post. ...
